Guiding You Through Life’s Hardest Stages

Maybe your mom’s medical diagnosis has sent ripples through your entire family. Perhaps the journey to fatherhood has been more complex than you ever imagined. You could be processing grief or trying to make sense of difficult experiences from your childhood. Is getting out of bed unbearable? All of us have been there at different times in our lives.

Whatever you're carrying, you don’t have to shoulder it alone. We’re here with the expertise and empathy to help you find steady ground again.

Our Approach

We offer a warm, steady presence and a deeply personalized approach. Our clients are regular women, men, couples and teens who feel stuck, frustrated, overwhelmed, or worn down. Maybe it’s depression that drains your energy and makes even small tasks feel impossible. Maybe it’s anxiety that keeps you in a constant state of overload or self-doubt. Maybe trauma has left invisible scars, or the past feels too close.

Whether you are ready to open up quickly or need some time to get comfortable, we move at your pace. Our goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself, again. Therapy is much more than understanding your past and we will save the clinical mumbo jumbo. We want to create meaningful change in your life today. You are not broken. You are not alone. There is nothing to be ashamed about. We’re here when you’re ready and you will move forward.

In  addition to working with clients battling depression, anxiety, and trauma, we specialize in the following areas below. All are very personal to us.

My Story - David Eichler, MSW, SWLC

I have spent more than two decades as a small business owner, learning how to bring out the best in people—especially under high pressure. Having crisscrossed the country, I’ve faced the challenges and celebrated the successes that come with significant personal and professional transitions, and sacrifices.

In 2001, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. That experience sparked my deep and lasting interest in mental health advocacy and patients’ rights. Little did I know it would also set me on the path toward becoming a therapist. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University in Billings, Montana. While completing 900 hours of clinical field placement at two outpatient counseling practices, I provided pro bono therapy to adults, teens, and couples.

Next Stage Therapy and Counseling feels like the fulfillment of my calling—long overdue, perhaps, but exactly where I’m meant to be. If I’ve learned anything along this journey, it’s that knowledge can be taught, but wisdom must be earned. I am currently accruing the 3,000 supervised hours required for full licensure in the state of Montana.

In addition to treating clients with anxiety, trauma, or depression, my specialties include grief and loss, suicide, men’s mental health, and bipolar disorder—topics that are deeply personal to me. My clinical approach integrates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, and Logotherapy. I rely on sincerity, authenticity, resilience, creativity, and humor to create a therapeutic environment that nourishes my clients and produces meaningful results.

Outside the office, I enjoy photography, reading, cars, sports, and attending rock concerts. My wife and I have been exploring the world together for 32 years, and we are currently raising two exceptionally pampered dogs, Bam Bam and Lola.

You deserve to feel informed, empowered, and supported in your mental health journey.
